There is no need to be mastered of computer for all these tips. Tips I’m going to discuss are very simple and easy, that everyone should know to run their computer speedily and safely.

How you can hide your personal files and folders in PC/Computer?

Sometimes, you share your computer with friends and family in office or at home and you don’t want to share your personal information (files or folders) stored on it. To avoid sharing you can hide your personal files and folders stored on computer. Here’s how to do it.

Hiding files in Windows is very easy:

  • Select a file or folder you want to hide
  • Right –click on selected file
  • Choose properties
  • Click on general Tab
  • Tick the hidden checkbox in the attributes section
  • Click apply
  • Click ok

 

For Complete hiding of files

  • Press Windows button
  • Click on control panel
  • Select folder option
  • Then Click on view Tab
  • Choose hidden files and folders in advanced settings
  • Click on don’t show hidden files, folders, or drives
  • Click apply
  • Now, Click ok

 

To view the hidden files or folders click on show hidden files, folders, and drives.

How to Speed Up-Computer?

Working on PC becomes hectic when it goes slower than usual and you get frustrated when you could not handle your work easily. Here are some reasons why computer gets slower.

When you open files and applications or install some applications it stores temporary files for faster access or for housekeeping. These files get stored in the “C:” drive where computer’s window is placed. That’s the basic reason for slow computer. Solution to this problem is very simple and easy. Even a novice can do this. Here are the folders where temporary files get stored.

temp: – Here are the steps to delete files from temp folder:

Click on start menu.

Then Type run in the search box.

Open the run dialog box.

Type temp in the run text box.

It will open temp folder with lot of temporary files.

Select all the files by pressing ctrl+A on the keyboard.

Press delete key on the keyboard.

A confirmation dialog box will open just click yes to delete the files.

You can speed up our computer by disk cleanup. Disk cleanup is a utility program of computer’s windows that will clear small temporary files and folders that slow down the computer.

Also you can speed up your computer by adding more storage option, keeping anti-virus up to date, uninstalling useless programs and turning off visual effects.
